12.12.06 - Fuzzymoto has a new lead vocalist
After a couple of years, Troy stepped down from Fuzzymoto, deciding to pursue a different path. So Fuzzymoto put out some feelers for a replacement. After rummaging through Craig's List, we saw an ad for a guitarist/vocalists looking to form a band playing funk and reggae. So Ham gave him a shout and invited him to come and audition for Fuzzymoto. Well as it turned out, he knew most of our covers already, he sang in key, he has a day job, and he plays a good guitar, so it was kind of a no brainer. Perhaps one of the easiest searches in the history of searches for a lead vocalist. (We thought about presenting our problem to the TV Show - Rockstar). So, December 23rd, will be Ron's debut with Fuzzymoto. So come out to Gallaghers on Main Street, Huntington Beach, and give him a warm welcome. It's going to be fun grooving Saturday night.

9.14.05 - Fuzzymoto actually hunkering down
This Bud's for you.Well summer was a blur to say the least. We played quite a few shows, drank quite a few beers, and burned through quite a few sacks. We've actually recorded a few songs, the likes of which you'll see seeping onto the website. Mota Mexicana was released, and it's up for review on GarageBand.com. It was actually featured as the Track of the Day, of September 12th. Yeah, we know, it's a couple days too late to let y'all know. Our bad. Last July, we performed a kick-ass show at the Viper Room in LA. That was quite a moment in the history of Fuzzymoto. We even got an encore, where they had to re-draw the curtains. Thanks to everyone that made the party bus, and to everyone that made that show happen for us. We'll be eternally grateful. We're currently laying low and trying to really focus (that means pulling our lazy-eyes back together) on completing our CD. It's getting to the point now, where it's actually starting to hold us back from creating new songs. So we know. We're on it. No set date yet on it's release. Look for another new song on the site within the next couple of weeks. No date on the CD release yet. Everytime we give a date, we jinx ourselves, so shhhhhh.

6.13.05 - Fuzzymoto brings down the house at Hard Rock Cafe
It's safe to say, that the Hard Rock Cafe was Fuzzymoto's best show ever. This was primarily due to the fact that there was such a good vibe and a warm atmosphere in the room that the energy of the crowd drove the energy of the band. Fuzzymoto would like to thank all of you that came out and supported us. Your kindness is touching. Fuzzymoto would also like to thank Ham's wife, Sato, for taking charge of the t-shirt table. We all appreciate the sacrifices she made to be there. Fuzzymoto would also like to thank the Hard Rock Cafe staff, and of course, Scott and Sean Healy, for putting the show together. It was a great time.

5.23.05 - Fuzzymoto's Debut at The Marlin
Sometimes Fuzzymoto is their own worst enemy. Fuzzymoto had entrusted the duties of collecting the money and flyers at the door to a close friend, who decided to show up after everyone had already been let in for free. So Fuzzymoto technically played a free show. So to everyone that showed up, thanks. To everyone that offered us money. Thanks, you've got a kind soul, but by then we didn't have the heart to take any money for one of our own mistakes.

Fuzzymoto, despite all this put together an interesting set. They even pulled out Bob Marley's "Jamming" after almost a year's hiatus. Thanks to everyone at the Marlin for letting us play, and thanks to Diane for setting everything up for us.

5.16.05 - "Get On The Bus" will be Track of the Day on GarageBand.com For Thursday, May 19th, 2005!
Fuzzymoto has had a song chosen to be track of the day on GarageBand.com. Garage band is an online community where songs are placed on rating charts based upon community members' reviews of songs. In order to get a song reviewed you have to have conducted a certain number of reviews yourself before you can get your own songs reviewed. So Ham has been listening/reviewing other artists' music, and has earned the priveledge of submitting one of Fuzzymoto's songs. He submitted "Get On The Bus", Fuzzymoto's only released original at this point, and as a result, it has been climbing the charts of GarageBand.com. Here's a copy of the message the sent us:

"As a result of some very enthusiastic reviews from GarageBand.com members, "Get On The Bus" will be Track of the Day at GarageBand.com!

For 24 hours on Thursday, the 19th of May, 2005 (PST) "Get On The Bus" will be featured on GarageBand.com's Groove Rock front page. Click here on Thursday to check it out."

So needless to say, Fuzzymoto's pretty stoked about that.
